Octomore 6.3 Islay Barley

Octomore 6.3 Islay Barley was distilled using 100% Islay Barley grown and harvested by farmer James Brown at Lorgba, which is a field on Octomore farm. The barley was saturated with peat to an incredible 258 ppm, the highest ever released in the whisky industry. It is non-chill filtered and no colour added and matured for 5 short years.

The BenRiach Peated Cask Strength – Batch 1

BenRiach Peated Cask Strength Batch 1 is the first release in their peated cask strength series. This expression is made with whiskies drawn from Oloroso Sherry casks and ex-Bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 56% ABV. is non-chill filtered and natural colour. It was also part of the BC Spirits Release in November of 2019. Here is my take!

The Balvenie Double Wood 12-Year-old

The Balvenie Double Wood 12-year-old is first matured in traditional ex-bourbon American oak which mellows the spirit imparts layers of vanilla spice. It then has a second maturation in European oak Sherry casks. This increases the complexity by adding fuity and honey notes to this flagship dram.

Auchentoshan 12-Year-Old

Auchentoshan 12-year-old is triple distilled and then matured is a combonation of ex-bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks. It is bottled at 40% ABV, chill filtered and colour is added. Here's my take!

SMWS 4.242 Coastal Landscape with Smoke, Highland Park 13-year-old is a single cask whisky which produced 262 bottles. This cask was bottled at a cask strength of 58% ABV and was distilled on January 17th, 2005 and put into an ex-bourbon refill hogshead. Here's my take!
