Loch Lomond Inchmurrin 18-year-old
This December one of my #whiskytastebuds was kind enough to share a sample of whisky from each day of their @KWM Whisky Advent Calendar. I will be doing tasting notes and reviews of each expression along with a short video on our Youtube channel. Be sure to subscribe to our channel to hear about each whisky and head to our website bluecollarandscholar.com to check out the blog or any of my reviews I’ve done to date.
Day 1 in this beautiful Kensington Wine Market Advent Calendar bore an engraved KWM Glencarin Crystal Whisky glass along with a Loch Lomond Inchmurrin 18-year-old. Bottled at 46% ABV.
Nose: Rich and Complex. An interesting citrusy fresh hops vine or dandelion note. Then it gave way to a caramel and fruity scent.
Palate: Smooth, velvet creamy vanilla, Milk Chocolate fruit and nut bar.
Finish: Long, Tropical Fruit and Ginger spice.
Having never tasted anything from this distillery and not typically favouring fruity whiskies, I was absolutely amazed at the quality and delicious sweetness of this dram. I will definitely be on the lookout for anything from Loch Lomond Distillery in the future!
